21 WEEKS: ROMANS 8:38-39

Dear my perfect boy,

Each day brings us closer to seeing your perfect face- I tend to wonder (like any expecting mother) who you will be? How perfect will you actually be? My only wish is for you is to be healthy, and I know you will be. I have opted out of getting any extensive tests only to make sure that they will not harm before you are here. Any inperfection will only make you that much more perfect to me. I know very little about you my perfect boy, I know that you are a male, and I know that you are breathing and moving and that is good enough for me... for now.  I am counting down the days until I get to hold you in my arms and rock you to sleep.

The past few days have been quite the adventure - We have been constantly going and going and going, like a small energizer bunny.. We spent the weekend with your grandparents in Lil burn and celebrated the life of your Johnny Pop on Sunday at Mimi's. We enjoyed the company of your cousin Caden and uncle Donald from New Jersey.. They are extremely excited about your existence and the next time we see them, you will be in our arms. I have been feeling really energetic lately and not so drousy like I have in the past- My strong feet that have carried us this past weekend were very sore and swollen. Mommy elivates her legs and takes long bubble baths to reduce the swelling.

Mommy and Gigi went shopping for you and got the most adorable baby clothes and some amazing new shades to match Mommy and Daddy's

Once we made it home after our very long weekend I spent some time working on DIY onesies for you to wear when you arrive. It was so simple and so much fun making these onesies for you. I am working on many more homemade items to go in your closet.

CRAVINGS:
This week we have been craving LOTS and LOTS of coffee... Iced coffee, hot coffee, and lattes. More Key  Lime pie, Speghetti, and salads on deck.

21 WEEKS- OVER THE HILL
We are finally finished with our first half of pregnancy!!! We celebrated with an entire Pecan Pie :) :)

131 days (hopefully)!!!!

Blog Quiz

How far along?  21 weeks :) Brooks is about the size of a carrot, weighing in at 13 ounces at our Dr. appt last Thurday :)

Total weight gain/measurements: Gained a total of 2 1/2 lbs.... It feels like a lot more :(

Maternity clothes: I haven't exactly fallen in love with ANY maternity clothes.. except my Maternity Rockstar Jeggings from Old Navy :)  I have two pairs... Dark Jeans and Bright Red. OMG they are amazing... LOVE LOVE LOVE. Shooting for comfort, maxi dresses, V-neck tees with leggings and Lots of dresses

Stretch marks: Not YET!!!! Thankfully! Keeping my skin extremely hydrated with Vitamin E oil, and Lots of Bio-Oil- I apply both twice a day and then put a layer of regular no scent body butter on top. I have Cocoa Butter but I can't stand the way it smells so I haven't broken it out yet.

Sleep: I have slept all night, every night... I think a little too much sleep. :)

Best moment this week: I got to spend a lot of time with my honey this week and I have really enjoyed that :) I can't remember what I did two minutes ago much less the "best moment this week" LOL

Miss anything? not being able to go without a bra..

Movement: Lots of movement this week :) Usually at night.. I think that your sleep schedule is way off.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Honestly... any smell makes me queasy

This week has been extremely rough and I have enjoyed having you to talk to.. As my body changes mommy gets very moody.. I have my ups and downs but its always an up when it comes to you.. on days like this we need to refer to Romans 8:38-39 "Dear God, Help me remember that NOTHING can seperate me from you LOVE today!"

I know that once you are old enough to read you will not be interested in reading what mommy did to prepare for you but maybe one day your children will stumble upon this and smile at how perfect and wonderful you were, even before you entered the world. I pray that you are sleeping well my perfect angel. I love you more than words can say :)

XOXOXO Goodnight, Mommy
